“Hey Tennessee!” That was the shout-out made by Sprouts Farmers Market staff as they gave a friendly wave to a growing crowd gathered for the ribbon cutting ceremony early on May 13, 2015, just before the grand opening to the first Sprouts location in the state.

How long have you been with Sprouts Farmers Market?

I started my grocery career when I was 19 years old and enjoyed the atmosphere so much, I made it my career. I’ve been with Sprouts since January 2010. I started as a grocery clerk and moved my way up to store manager.

Are you from the Memphis area or new to this market?

I relocated to the southeast from my Colorado home because I was excited to bring Sprouts to the Southeast region. I’m loving calling Memphis home.

The Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce honored several businesses at its annual Awards Banquet on January 24.
