How long have you been with Sprouts Farmers Market?

I started my grocery career when I was 19 years old and enjoyed the atmosphere so much, I made it my career. I’ve been with Sprouts since January 2010. I started as a grocery clerk and moved my way up to store manager.

Are you from the Memphis area or new to this market?

I relocated to the southeast from my Colorado home because I was excited to bring Sprouts to the Southeast region. I’m loving calling Memphis home.

Lakeland Resident Shines on Stage

At 13 years old, Briarcrest Christian School seventh-grader Benjamin Cheng  has  pretty big goals. “I really want to go on Broadway,” he explained, “and become famous there.”

While Cheng plans to get a college education first — to get his bearings and build a stable foundation in case Broadway doesn’t work out — he already has a very impressive resume for someone who has only been performing for a few years.

Bolton StageLight Theatre Presents Musical Comedy “Lucky Stiff,” March 5-10

Lucky StiffUPDATED: Due to snow days last week, the Lucky Stiff will run through Wednesday, March 11.

The Bolton StageLight Theatre is proud to present Ahrens and Flaherty’s Lucky Stiff. Harry Witherspoon, a mild-mannered shoe salesman, inherits six million dollars from his recently deceased Uncle Tony. Harry may obtain the money under one condition: he must escort his dead uncle to Monte Carlo for a week-long vacation. Otherwise, according to the will, the six million dollars will be donated to the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn. Throughout the course of the trip, Harry finds himself constantly trying to protect his potential inheritance from other characters who are after the money as well.

Arlington Plans Community Garden

The Town of Arlington has announced the creation of the Depot Square Community Garden. Located at 12047 US Hwy 70, the gardens will actually be accessed from Mott Street, located in the Historic Depot Square of Arlington.

Site development is currently underway in partnership with the Arlington Garden Club. Parks Director Kevin Carter states “We will be creating a unique opportunity for citizens of all ages to become a part of the Depot Square Community Garden by offering raised beds to grow fruits and vegetables of their choice.  Families and organizations will be able to grow healthy food and to encourage a healthy community within Arlington.”
