The weather is (finally) warming up and 38002 is getting busy.  Here’s a brief run-down of meetings & activities for this weekend.

Friday, April 11: Lakeland School System Board Retreat at IH Clubhouse.

Saturday, April 12:

AYLL_BLittle League Opening Day

Opening Ceremonies start at 9:00 am at Arlington Sports Complex.  Family activities and concessions all day long.

Lakeland Community Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Eggs10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Lakeland, 4500 Canada Road (Across from IH Clubhouse)

There will be crafts, games, face painting and photos with the Easter Bunny. For children ages 2 – 10. For more information, contact Lakeland Parks and Recreation at 901-867-2717.

Kroger Fan Fest

Experience the thrill of NASCAR at the Arlington Kroger, Hwy 70 from 11:00 am -5:00 pm with racing simulators, tire changing units, racing showcars, product samples, and other attractions.

Sunday, April 13:  A Taste of Arlington

5:00pm – 7:00 pm at Arlington High School.  Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-12.

A Taste of Arlington has expanded to include samplings from vendors located outside of Arlington, as well as some new  faces from Arlington and Lakeland. A Taste of Arlington is organized by the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and title sponsor First Citizens National Bank.  For 2014,    A Silent Auction benefiting the Arlington Chapter of the Association for the  Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities will also be held at the event.
