UPDATED: Lakeland Native Brandon Holmes Part of Disney’s Oscar-Winning FROZEN

UPDATED: This past weekend was big for Lakeland native Disney production coordinator Brandon Holmes. He was part of a team of fellow co-workers & film makers that won an Academy Award for the beloved animated feature, Frozen.

Holmes graduated from Briarcrest Christian School in 2004 and BCS Art teacher, Jenna Fergus talked with his family immediately after he won the Oscar.  Holmes’s mom told Fergus that during his early years at Briarcrest, he spent countless hours honing his art gift which produced a work ethic that has allowed him to shoot for the stars and strive for excellence in his chosen career in movie making.  With a heart full of gratitude for his parents, encouragement from BCS Art teacher Jenna Fergus, Holmes pushed through the huge obstacles of the entertainment industry to attain his dream of working on animated feature films at Disney.

When asked how he felt about winning an Academy Award, Holmes humbly said that he was so honored.
