“Stars and Stripes” BBQ Luncheon

On Friday, June 21, Seniors 55+ are invited to celebrate our freedom and friendship at the “Stars and Stripes” BBQ Luncheon sponsored by St. Francis Hospital-Bartlett. The featured entertainment for the event is The Sgt. W. K. Singleton Pipes and Drums. They are an all-volunteer group that performs throughout the Mid-South. The band is associated with Detachment 476 of the Marine Corp League, Memphis, Tennessee, and performs as part of their Honor Guard. Music played includes traditional Scottish and Irish tunes, American Patriotic music, and songs to warm the heart and bring a smile.

The luncheon will be BBQ, beans, slaw, potato salad and dessert catered by Bozo’s BBQ, and includes drinks. The cost of the meal is $10 per person, payable at the door. The event begins at 11:30 am and will be held at the International Harvester Clubhouse, 4523 Canada Road.

Bring a friend, make a friend and spend a wonderful afternoon eating great BBQ, enjoying conversation and a laugh or two with fellow seniors, and the special program planned by The Sgt. W.K. Singleton Pipes and Drums.

Make your reservation today by contacting Vickie Holland 867-2717 or email vholland@lakelandtn.org.
